How Pathlumi works

Other sites show you what exists. This one shows you what is worth your time — and what applying will actually involve.

  1. Tell us what you are into

Your grade, your interests, roughly where you live, how much time you have and what you can afford. Two minutes, and none of it is public.

  2. See what actually fits

Every card says why it matched — your interests, your grade, your budget, your distance. If you are not eligible, we do not recommend it.

  3. Know before you start

Open any listing and read exactly what the application asks for: the steps, the materials, the essays, the fee, and how long it takes.

The difference

You should know what an application involves before you start it

A programme that looks perfect can turn out to need two teacher recommendations, an official transcript and a 650-word essay — which you find out forty minutes in, at eleven at night, three days before it closes.

Every Pathlumi listing has an Application Preview: the numbered steps, the materials checklist, the essay questions where the organization has published them, the fee, and an honest estimate of how long it takes. We also show when we last checked, because requirements change.

For organizations

Reach students who are actually looking

Nonprofits, schools, universities, research labs, community groups and companies can post opportunities for free. Local volunteering sits next to national programmes — a Saturday shift at a community centre matters as much here as a university summer placement.

Free to post. No payment details are collected anywhere on Pathlumi.

  1. Create your organization profile

Tell us who you are, where you are based and what you do. A person on our team reads it.

  2. Write the listing, including the application

The wizard walks you through eligibility, dates, cost and — the part students care most about — exactly what applying involves.

  3. We review, then it goes live

Every listing is checked before students see it. Once live, you get view, save and application-click counts.

Trust and safety

Built for a platform that serves minors

Safety here is a set of product decisions, not a policy page. These are the ones that shaped how Pathlumi works.

  • Every listing is reviewed

Nothing reaches students automatically. A person checks each organization and each listing before it is published.

  • Students are not browsable

There is no public student directory and no student profile page. Providers cannot see who saved their listing.

  • No messaging between adults and students

Pathlumi has no inbox. Applications happen on the organization’s own official site.

  • Anyone can report a listing

Every listing has a report button, signed in or not. Safety reports are acted on first.
